The organization collaborates with the primary healthcare system to enhance access to and awareness of cost-effective treatments, particularly Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) and Zinc, which have the potential to prevent over 90% of deaths if all diarrhoea cases are treated.

Through partnerships with Community Health Workers, Clear Solutions offers parents free ORS & Zinc at home, ensuring immediate access to these life-saving treatments when a child experiences diarrhoea. Despite being a small organization, Clear Solutions has a significant mission.

Job Description:

Role’s Social Impact:

The Program Manager plays a crucial role in scaling and optimizing Clear Solutions’ programs, which will have a profound impact on the lives of hundreds of thousands of children. As the organization expands from serving four local government areas to a state-wide and beyond, the Program Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality programs that meet the needs of the children and communities they serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Insights: Provide strategic leadership and insights to drive program excellence, collaborating with trusted NGO and Healthcare System partners.
  • Program Development: Conceive and execute programs that are cost-effective and scalable, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services to children and communities.
  • Partnership Development: Foster strong partnerships with local stakeholders, including NGOs and Healthcare Systems, to support program implementation and growth.

Role Responsibilities: Program Manager at Clear Solutions

As a small and agile organization, the Program Manager’s responsibilities may evolve over time, but typically include:

  1. Program Planning and Management:
    • Building and owning detailed program plans, engaging responsible people and stakeholders for each aspect
    • Reporting status and planning mitigations for top risk factors
    • Orchestrating monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities during key operational phases
    • Observing and problem-solving during implementation, always with a view to serving communities more effectively
  2. Partnership Management:
    • Managing partnerships, aligning partner needs and constraints with implementation plans
    • Ensuring effective collaboration with partners
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Representing Clear Solutions in stakeholder discussions up to senior levels
    • Building on program and domain insights to maximize Clear Solutions’ impact and cost-effectiveness
  4. Organizational Decision Making:
    • Playing a major role in organizational decision making
    • Contributing to building on program and domain insights
    • Striving to maximize Clear Solutions’ impact and cost-effectiveness

Required Capabilities, Experience, or Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent practical experience
  • Strong English communication skills, written, verbal, and presentation across organizational levels
  • Excellent in bringing structure and clarity to situations with many considerations
  • Experience as a program manager or similar role in healthcare or development programs in sub-Saharan Africa
  • Ability to lead through changing circumstances, adapting plans in response to new information, and driving clarity with team members
  • Computer skills sufficient to create and work with shared spreadsheets (including formulae and advanced formatting) and quickly create documents and presentations for internal and external communication

Preferred Experience or Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Hausa language
  • People management experience in a healthcare or NGO context
  • Experience in NGO program design or strategy
  • Experience engaging with State Government stakeholders
  • Experience in partnership management

Compensation:

Job Summary

The Nurse will improve the health of the targeted population by providing quality curative and preventive health care. Responsibilities include triaging patients, ensuring smooth patient flow, providing clinical care, assisting with referrals, and offering health education and hygiene promotion. The role may require assisting Health staff in other capacities as needed. Essential functions must be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Clinical Nursing Services: Deliver nursing care according to internationally accepted standards.
  • Assist Healthcare Team: Support clinicians, midwives, laboratory, vaccination, and pharmacy staff in their duties.
