Duties and Responsibilities

Internal Control and Auditing:

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive internal audit program for the project.
  • Ensure audits are performed professionally, providing credible audit observations and recommendations.

Grant Management:

  • Maintain an overview of all grants, donor requirements, rules, regulations, and deadlines.
  • Ensure proper filing of grant documents, including use of grants databases.
  • Coordinate development of donor applications and reports, ensuring compliance and quality control.

Financial Compliance:

  • Conduct internal audits to meet financial, operational, and compliance objectives.
  • Report on control deficiencies and provide risk mitigation recommendations.
  • Challenge and refine current processes across LPF.

Policy and Procedure Maintenance:

  • Review and update policies and procedures to align with legislation and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development and revision of funding proposals, budgets, and donor reports.

Training and Support:

  • Provide internal helpdesk support on donor-related issues.
  • Organize and deliver training on donor rules, proposal, and report writing.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Engage with various stakeholders within LPF.
  • Support external donor audits and provide necessary documentation.

Risk Management:

  • Identify and assess potential organizational risks.
  • Examine financial statements and transactions for accuracy and compliance.
  • Analyze data for anomalies or potential fraud.

General Support:

  • Participate in annual audit plan development.
  • Provide guidance on internal control matters and best practices.

  • Adhere to LPF’s principles and values, promoting gender justice and women’s rights.
  • Commit to equity, diversity, gender, child safety, and staff health principles.
