Fuel Your Future: Join the Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Paid Internship Program for Nigerian Youths”

Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Paid Internship Program

The Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Program stands as one of EnterpriseNGR’s primary developmental projects, designed to tackle the prevalent challenges of youth unemployment and under-employment in the nation while enhancing capacity within the private sector.

At EnterpriseNGR, we have taken a proactive approach to combatting unemployment by not only identifying the issue but also implementing a solution. This led to the establishment of the Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Program.

The Youth of Enterprise Internship Program is a six-month paid initiative that provides Nigerian youth with a valuable chance to redefine their career paths and kickstart their professional journeys through a “greenstart” approach.

According to the National Population Commission, Nigeria’s population stands at approximately 220 million, with half of this figure being youth. Regrettably, statistics from the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics reveal that more than 42% of Nigerian youth are without employment, and a significant portion are classified as underemployed.

Through the YOE Internship Program, our aim is to enhance the employability of Nigerian youth and prepare them for success in the professional arena.

We are on a Mission to Empower Nigerian Youth. It is a heartbreaking reality that many graduates, despite their tireless efforts, are forced to settle for low-paying jobs or even succumb to depression due to the immense financial, emotional, and physical strain that unemployment brings. The educational system may not have adequately equipped them with the necessary skills to meet the demands of the corporate world, and access to information about job opportunities is not always readily available.

However, the Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Program is poised to change this narrative. We are on a mission to equip Nigerian graduates with the essential skills and experience they need to thrive in the workplace and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their global counterparts.

Through the YOE Internship Program, EnterpriseNGR is playing a vital role in facilitating capacity building within the private sector and contributing to the resolution of the unemployment crisis in Nigeria. By providing graduates with hands-on experience and targeted training, we aim to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and professional competencies, empowering them to excel in their chosen fields.

Our mission is to create a future where Nigerian youth are not only employable but also equipped to lead and innovate in the global marketplace. Join us in this transformative journey as we work together to unlock the potential of Nigeria’s brightest minds and build a more prosperous nation.

Our Commitment

At EnterpriseNGR, we are dedicated to empowering the next generation of workplace talent through the Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Programme. Our commitment is to:

  • Empower the next generation of workplace talent
  • Create meaningful work experiences
  • Foster an ecosystem of support and networking
  • Curate opportunities for our interns
  • Build capacity for future growth

How Competitive is the Application Process for the Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Program?

The Youth of Enterprise (YOE) Internship Program by EnterpriseNGR is a highly competitive program, given the large number of Nigerian youth seeking employment opportunities. A few key points about the competitiveness of the application process:

  • Nigeria has a population of about 220 million, with 50% comprising youth. Over 42% of Nigerian youth remain unemployed, with a larger percentage underemployed
  • The YOE Internship Program aims to improve the employability of Nigerian youth and position them for success in the workplace. This makes it an attractive opportunity for many graduates.
  • To be eligible, applicants must be Nigerian university graduates aged 18 to 26 who have completed the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program and currently reside in Nigeria. This narrows down the applicant pool to a specific demographic.
  • The program offers a paid six-month internship, hands-on experience, mentorship, and networking opportunities. These benefits make it a highly sought-after program.
  • The application process involves submitting a CV to the EnterpriseNGR website.

While the exact number of applicants is not provided, the combination of a large youth population, high unemployment rates, and the program’s attractive benefits suggests that the Youth of Enterprise Internship Program is a highly competitive opportunity. Applicants should ensure they meet all eligibility criteria and submit a strong application to increase their chances of selection.

With many graduates likely applying, the selection process becomes more competitive.
